The people and promises behind Ecoflow

Our story

How Ecoflow got started

Brothers Paul and Sergei Grigorjew started Ecoflow in 2020. Sergei has been a plumber since 2005, and after fifteen years in the trade he'd heard the same complaints from homeowners over and over again: prices that crept up once the job was underway, calls that never got returned, and a mess left behind for somebody else to deal with.

So they built a company around getting those three things right. Sergei leads the work in the field and holds the plumbing ticket. Paul runs the business side, looks after most of the conversations with customers, and is usually the one checking in after the job to make sure everything's working the way you wanted.

The team

The people you'll deal with

Ecoflow is small enough that the same handful of people look after your job from the first phone call to the final invoice.

Cassie, office manager at Ecoflow.

Cassie

Office manager

Cassie runs the office. During business hours she's usually the voice on the phone, and she's the one who books your visit, keeps the schedule moving, and lets you know when we're on our way.

Adam, journeyman plumber at Ecoflow.

Adam

Journeyman plumber

Adam is a journeyman plumber and the newest addition to our crew. He heads out on our more complex plumbing jobs, the ones where experience makes the biggest difference.

Jason, gas fitting apprentice at Ecoflow.

Jason

Gas fitting apprentice

Jason is a level two gas fitting apprentice. He takes on a lot of our service calls and gas installations, and he's always there to help out on the bigger HVAC jobs to make sure that we get in and out of your house quickly.

Harman, plumbing apprentice at Ecoflow.

Harman

Plumbing apprentice

Harman is a level two plumbing apprentice. He handles a lot of our plumbing service calls and installations, and he's part of the crew on the bigger jobs too.

How we work

Three promises we make on every job

Most of what we'd want you to know about us comes down to three promises. They're the same three things homeowners told Sergei they couldn't count on, which is exactly why we made them the centre of the business.

One price, and we keep it

Before any work starts, one of us comes out, looks at the problem, and explains what's wrong and why it happened. Then you get one price for fixing it. Estimates are free, and once you've said yes, that's the number you'll see on the invoice. We won't change it partway through the job.

Now and then we open up a wall and find something nobody could have known about, like a second leak or a section of pipe that's worse than it looked. When that happens we stop, show you what we found, and talk it through with you before anything else gets done. You decide what happens next.

"Sergei took his time explaining to me what is happening to my ac unit and gave professional recommendation. Good pricing too."

A callback the same business day

If you call or send us a request between 8:00 and 5:00, Monday to Friday, you'll hear back from us that same day. Cassie is in the office through those hours, and getting back to people quickly is a big part of her job.

Anything that comes in after 5:00 or over the weekend gets triaged. Emergencies, like a burst pipe or a furnace that quit on a cold night, get a call back as soon as possible. We'll let you know how soon we can get out there, and whether there's anything you should do before we arrive.

We leave the place clean

We know it's your home we're working in, and we treat it that way. We cover the floors between the door and the job, keep our tools and parts together in one spot, and clear out every offcut, box, and bit of dust before we pack up. When we pull out of your driveway, the only sign we were there should be the thing we came to fix.

"Amazing work and so happy with the clean install. Left zero mess and have followed up to make sure all is working well and I am happy."

Services

What we do

One call to Ecoflow covers your plumbing, gas fitting, heating, and cooling, so the crew that swaps out your water heater in the spring is the same crew that services your heat pump in the fall. That includes furnaces and boilers, heat pumps and mini-splits, water heaters, drains and sewer lines, Poly-B replacement, and water treatment.

On heat pump installs, we fill out the contractor side of the CleanBC rebate paperwork as part of the job, then walk you through your side of it so nothing gets missed before the deadline.

Where we work

Rooted in the Shuswap

Our shop is at 9225 Firehall Frontage Rd, just outside Salmon Arm's industrial park, and it's where our trucks start and finish every day. From there we cover Salmon Arm, Canoe, Sorrento, Blind Bay, Eagle Bay, Sicamous, Chase, Mabel Lake, Enderby, and Armstrong.

We're also setting up a second shop on Back Enderby Road, which puts a crew a lot closer to homes in Enderby, Armstrong, and around Mabel Lake.
