Why it matters
We're based in Salmon Arm, not visiting it
If you search for a plumber in Salmon Arm, several of the biggest names that come back are Vernon companies with a Salmon Arm phone number. Most days that doesn't matter. But at six on a bitter Sunday morning in January, all that matters is getting somebody out there before the kids get cold. And those Vernon companies are at least an hour of winter highway away.
Ecoflow's home base isn't 2 towns over, it's just outside of Salmon Arm's industrial park. So when disaster strikes, we're only minutes away from your door.
Services
What we do in Salmon Arm
Plumbing, heating, cooling and gas fitting under one roof, so one job doesn't need two companies booked around each other.
Plumbing
- Water heaters, tank and tankless
- Lines that have burst, frozen or started leaking
- Drains that back up, and drain cleaning
- Toilets, taps and fixtures, including the fixture side of a bathroom or kitchen renovation
- Water and sewer lines from the house out to the property line
If it carries water and it's stopped behaving, it's our work.
Heating and cooling
- Furnaces, boilers and radiant in-floor heating
- Heat pumps, air conditioning and ductless mini-splits
- Service calls on a system that's limping, right through to a full replacement
- Gas fitting in-house, so a furnace swap or a new gas line doesn't need a second company booked in behind us
- Rebate paperwork: we complete the contractor portion and walk you through yours
Our best-kept secrets
These services generally don't show up on websites, but they're some of our most requested services:
- Poly-B replacement
- Sewer camera inspection
- Plumbing inspections and reports for insurance
- Water treatment and softening for properties on a well
They aren't glamorous, but every one of them keeps a home or a business running safely.

Our most requested services in Salmon Arm
Every town has its own quirks. These are the three we get called about most in Salmon Arm.
The little grey pipe that couldn't hold water
If your house went up between the mid-1980s and the late 1990s, there's a good chance it's plumbed with Poly-B. It's grey, it's flexible, and for a long stretch it was what everybody built with. Then it started springing leaks.
Insurers know all about it now. If Poly-B turns up on your policy you could be looking at a surcharge, a much higher water damage deductible, a deadline to get it replaced, or a flat refusal to cover you at all.
We repipe whole houses. One visit is usually enough for us to tell you what you've got and what it would take to swap it out.
Acreage well water, pressure tanks and septic systems
Once you're outside town limits you're running your own little utility. Silver Creek, Gleneden, Ranchero, Canoe, Blind Bay and the properties up behind them all deal with things a town lot never has to think about.
That's where most of our rural work comes from. Pressure tanks that short cycle until something gives out. Water with enough iron and hardness in it to wear out every fixture and appliance in the house. Pumps that wait for the coldest week of the year to quit on you.
We work on all of it, and if treatment turns out to be the answer, we size it around what's actually coming out of your well.
All-weather heating and cooling
Salmon Arm asks a lot of a furnace in January, then turns around and asks for air conditioning in August. A cold-climate heat pump covers the shoulder seasons and most of the winter, a gas furnace picks up the coldest nights, and the same equipment cools the house all summer.
If you're replacing a furnace anyway, that's the moment to talk through whether one system should be doing both jobs, and what the FortisBC and CleanBC rebates knock off the price.
The process
What happens when you call
You reach a person
Tell us what the system's doing. If it's an emergency, we'll tell you how soon we can get there and what to shut off in the meantime so it doesn't get worse. If it can wait for regular hours, we'll say so, and save you the after-hours rate.
We look at it before we quote it
You get a clear explanation of what's actually wrong, why it happened, how long the fix will take and what it's going to cost, before we even pick up a wrench. Estimates are free, and we won't change the number partway through the job.
We do the work
But we don't just slap it in and call it a day. The pipe run behind a panel gets the same care as the tap on your sink, even though you're never going to see it again once the cover's back on.
We clean up and show you around
We clean up, show you how to use your new equipment and how to look after it, and let you know if and when it'll need maintenance.
Thanks to the team at Ecoflow, my place was out of the way and they are the only ones who could be bothered to help me replace an old oil furnace with a propane. The communication was excellent from everyone, I wasn't sitting around wondering if they had a plan or what that might be. Thanks guys, just being upfront is helpful.
Service area
Where we work from here
Salmon Arm is home, and it also happens to sit in the middle of the area we cover. Working outward from here that takes in Canoe, Gleneden, Silver Creek, Tappen, Sunnybrae, White Lake and Ranchero, west to Sorrento, Blind Bay and Chase, east to Sicamous, and north into Enderby and Armstrong.
If your property's on the edge of that and you're not sure, call and ask. If we're not the right company for your job we can help you find someone who is.
Reviews
What Salmon Arm customers say
Just an amazing overall experience!! From Cassie coordinating in the office to Paul and Sergei in the field, they are true professionals who strive for an amazing customer experience. Extremely knowledgeable and professional. Truly want their customers to be happy. Came to my home in Eagle Bay which is quite remote to have a look and provide quote. Installed a phenomenal mini split unit within a week and I couldn't be happier.
During install when I wasn't available, Paul was sure to FaceTime to ensure all was in installed exactly where I wanted. Amazing work and so happy with the clean install. Left zero mess and have followed up to make sure all is working well and I am happy. I couldn't recommend this company more if you need anything they do!! Choose these folks. They are the best.

FAQ
Common questions from Salmon Arm homeowners
Do you charge more for evenings, weekends and holidays?
Yes. Our after-hours callout fee is higher than our daytime rate.
But before we send anybody out, we'll give you an accurate idea of what it's going to cost you, and we'll tell you whether the problem can safely wait for regular hours.
Do you service properties outside Salmon Arm town limits?
Yes. Silver Creek, Gleneden, Ranchero, Canoe, Sunnybrae, Tappen and White Lake are all regular work for us, along with the acreages behind them. Rural properties usually run on a well, a pressure tank and a septic system, and those are systems we work on every week. There's no separate rural rate inside our normal service area.
How fast can you get here in an emergency?
We can't guarantee a set callout time. It depends on where you are, the roads, and whether we're already out on another emergency. What we will do is give you an accurate ETA when you call, and let you know if anything changes while you're waiting for us to show up.
My insurance company asked whether my house has Poly-B. Can you check?
Yes, and it's a short visit. Poly-B is grey flexible pipe, usually with copper or plastic crimp rings, and it's most often visible at the hot water tank, under sinks or where lines run through an unfinished basement. We can confirm what you have, put it in writing for your insurer, and give you a repipe estimate at the same visit if that's where it's heading.
Can you do both the plumbing and the heating on a renovation?
Yes, and that's the main practical reason people here use us. Plumbing, gas fitting, heating and cooling are all in-house, so a bathroom addition or a mechanical room rebuild doesn't need two companies coordinated around each other. We don't do electrical, and on jobs that need it we work alongside a licensed electrician.
Do you help with the heat pump rebates?
Yes. There are two halves to the paperwork on a FortisBC or CleanBC rebate. We complete the contractor portion as part of the job. The homeowner portion has to be submitted by you, and we'll walk you through it.
Before the work starts we'll tell you which rebates the equipment you're considering actually qualifies for. Amounts and program rules change often, so we quote you the current figures when we do your estimate. Numbers published on a website go stale fast.
Talk to a plumber who works in this town.
Free estimates, no obligation, and we'll tell you straight whether the job's urgent or whether it can wait.
